News: Leussink wins 2017 Premier Supplier Award from Joy Komatsu Australia

2018 has been a great year for Leussink Engineering. Aside from all the great projects that we get to work on and having our first-year tradesman Callum place fourth in the WorldSkills Australian National Championships, there was something else special that happened to us in 2018.

As a second-generation family-owned Illawarra based world-class engineering firm, we were extremely honoured to have been awarded Australia’s top supplier award from Komatsu Mining Australia. In presenting the award at the recent Supplier Conference, Komatsu acknowledged our unwavering quality of product, turnaround times, performance delivery, value of supply as well as account management and company culture in working together with Komatsu.

In order for us to have been able to achieve this accolade, we needed to consistently achieve target metrics for quality of 95% or better for on-time delivery and 0 score for defective product. 104 Australian businesses were eligible for the award.

Our Managing Director, Jason Leussink, commented that it was an honour to receive the award and was proud to see the recognition for the years of working together:

“We are very excited be recognised as Australia’s top supplier to Komatsu Mining, they have been an important partner of Leussink for many decades. This award is a great symbol of our dedication to achieve quality and value for the products we design and also for the services we deliver.”

For the last six years, the award has been given to dual winners. However, this year, we were the sole winner for the Premier Supplier Award for 2017. Jason
