Developing future industry leaders

At Leussink Engineering our people are the backbone of our business and are our most valuable asset, bar none. Our team members take immense pride in delivering quality work and catering to the needs of our customers.

Our level of staff retention speaks volumes about the kind of business we are. We grow and excel as a business by facilitating the growth and excellence of our people.

We take immense pride in nurturing and developing future generations of engineering leaders. We have an active apprenticeship program through which we induct promising new apprentices each year. We can proudly say that we commit great time and effort into developing the next generation of machinists, fabricators, draftsmen, tradesmen and engineers.

For evidence on all of the above, one need only look to Leussink Engineering Director Jason Leussink, who himself undertook his apprenticeship at Leussink Engineering in the early 1990s.

Our award-winning young professionals

At Leussink Engineering, we don’t take our apprentices for granted. Our apprentices mean a great deal to us and we commit to providing them with apprenticeship training that is second to none.

Testament to this is the fact that we have a track record of producing award-winning young professionals who are at the top of their field upon completion of their apprenticeship with Leussink Engineering. In recent years our apprentices have won TAFE Student of the Year Awards and made both NSW state and Australian national WorldSkills teams.

To date, two of our apprentices have been selected to represent Australia at the WorldSkills Olympics, the elite world championships of vocational skills. The first to do so finished in fourth place in the Turning category at the WorldSkills Olympics in Taiwan in 1993. And that apprentice was none other than Leussink Engineering Director Jason Leussink, whose parents founded Leussink Engineering in their home garage in 1977.

We believe in our people. And we believe in their ability to get the job done to nothing but the very best standards. As well as apprenticeships, we offer work experience opportunities year round.

Applications for work experience with Leussink should be made through your schools career advisor. Tradesmen positions are also available from time to time; for more information on such positions we invite email to us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
